THE EXECUTIVE ARM
The executive arm of government is responsible for running the affairs of the State and for implementing the laws of the State as provided by the constitution and enacted by the Legislature.
The Governor is the chief executive of the State. He is assisted by his commissioners, advisors and assistants in discharging his responsibilities. The State Exeutive Council which he chairs is responsible for making policies while the ministries, agencies and other offices (MDAs) are the main implemention bodies.
The residence and office of the Governor are located in Government House. The Cabinet Office serves as the link and secreteriat between the office of the Governor and other arms and offices of the Government.
